Performance Issues

Resolving issues when the app is slow or freezes.


Symptoms

  • App launches slowly
  • Screen transitions are slow
  • Gallery loading is slow
  • Saving after capture is slow
  • App freezes or becomes unresponsive

App Loading State


Solutions

Step 1: Restart App

  1. Completely close WorkCam
  2. Remove from recent apps
  3. Relaunch

Step 2: Restart Device

  1. Restart device
  2. Relaunch app

Step 3: Free Up Storage Space

Performance degrades when storage space is low.

  1. Device Settings > Storage
  2. Check remaining space
  3. Recommend at least 1GB free

Methods: - Delete unnecessary apps - Delete unnecessary photos/videos - Clear cache

Step 4: Clear Cache

  1. WorkCam Settings > Storage
  2. Tap Clear Cache

  1. Device Settings > Apps > WorkCam

Step 5: Close Background Apps

Other apps may be using resources.

  1. Open recent apps list
  2. Close unnecessary apps
  3. Relaunch WorkCam

Performance may have improved in the latest version.

  1. Play Store / App Store
  2. Check for WorkCam update

Gallery Loading

Loading slows down with many media files.

Solutions: 1. Delete unnecessary media 2. Use filters to reduce displayed media 3. Clear cache

  1. Lower resolution
  2. Turn off HDR/Night mode
  3. Free up storage space
  4. Check device temperature (slows when overheated)

  1. High-resolution videos may be slow depending on device performance
  2. Close other apps
  3. Restart device

Sync is Slow

Slow Sync

  1. Check network speed
  2. Use Wi-Fi
  3. Reduce simultaneous upload count (in settings)
  4. Lower upload quality

Overheating Issues

Device Gets Hot

Device may get hot with extended use.

Symptoms: - App slows down - Camera automatically shuts down - Warning message appears

Solutions: 1. Close app and let device cool down 2. Remove case (heat dissipation) 3. Avoid direct sunlight 4. Use again after cooling

Resolution: 12MP (instead of max)
Video: 1080p (instead of 4K)
Simultaneous Uploads: 3 or less
