Cloud Sync Errors

Resolving issues when cloud sync fails.


Symptoms

  • Sync doesn't start
  • Stuck during sync
  • "Sync failed" message
  • Only partial sync

Solutions

Step 1: Check Internet Connection

  1. Check Wi-Fi or mobile data connection status
  2. Test by accessing a website in browser
  3. Reconnect to network if connection is unstable

Step 2: Check Sync Settings

  1. WorkCam Settings > Cloud
  2. Confirm Auto Sync is ON
  3. Check sync conditions:
    • If Wi-Fi Only is set, Wi-Fi connection required
    • If While Charging Only is set, charging required

Step 3: Check Cloud Connection Status

  1. Settings > Cloud
  2. Check connected services
  3. Check connection status
  4. Re-login if there's an issue

Step 4: Check Cloud Storage Capacity

Sync fails if cloud storage is full:

  1. Check capacity in cloud service web/app
  2. Free up space or upgrade if insufficient

Step 5: Try Manual Sync

  1. Settings > Cloud
  2. Tap Sync Now
  3. Check result

Step 6: Reconnect

  1. Settings > Cloud > Select service
  2. Disconnect
  3. Reconnect via Add Service
  4. Start sync

Solutions by Error Message

"Authentication Error"

  1. Disconnect service
  2. Reconnect (login)
  3. Check two-factor authentication if enabled

"Storage Full"

  1. Delete unnecessary files from cloud
  2. Empty trash
  3. Or upgrade capacity

"Network Error"

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Try different network
  3. Turn off VPN if using

"File Not Found"

File Missing

  1. Check if the media was deleted
  2. Remove item from queue
  3. Restart app

Service-Specific Issues

Google Drive

  • Check Google account status
  • Update Drive app
  • Re-login to account

Google Drive Connection

Dropbox

  • Install/update Dropbox app
  • Check account status

OneDrive

  • Check Microsoft account status
  • Check IT policies for work accounts

Nextcloud/ownCloud

  • Check server status
  • Verify server address is correct
  • Check if SSL certificate is valid

Reset Sync

If problem persists:

  1. Settings > Cloud > Select service
  2. Disconnect
  3. Restart app
  4. Reconnect
  5. Reconfigure sync settings

Reset

Files in cloud are not deleted when disconnecting.


Prevention

  • Use stable network connection
  • Maintain free cloud storage capacity
  • Regularly check sync status
  • Keep app and cloud services up to date
