App Startup Issues

Resolving issues when the app won't launch or crashes on startup.


Symptoms

  • App doesn't launch when tapping icon
  • Stuck on loading screen
  • Closes immediately after starting
  • "App has stopped" message

App Startup Failure Symptoms


Solutions

Step 1: Force Close and Restart App

  1. Open recent apps list
  2. Swipe up on WorkCam to close
  3. Wait a moment (10 seconds)
  4. Relaunch the app

Step 2: Restart Device

  1. Long press device power button
  2. Select Restart or Reboot
  3. Launch app after device restarts

Step 3: Clear App Cache

  1. Open device Settings
  2. Go to Apps or Application Manager
  3. Select WorkCam
  4. Go to Storage
  5. Tap Clear Cache

Step 4: Update App

  1. Open Play Store / App Store
  2. Search "WorkCam"
  3. Tap Update button if available

Step 5: Check Storage Space

The app may not launch if storage space is insufficient.

  1. Device Settings > Storage
  2. Check remaining space
  3. Recommend at least 500MB free

Step 6: Clear App Data (Caution)

Data Loss

This method deletes app data. First confirm that cloud sync is complete.

  1. Device Settings > Apps > WorkCam
  2. Storage
  3. Clear Data or Clear Storage
  4. Relaunch app (initial setup required)

Step 7: Reinstall App

If all above methods fail:

Before Reinstalling

  • Confirm cloud sync is complete
  • Or backup data to PC
  1. Delete the app
  2. Reinstall from Play Store / App Store
  3. Connect to cloud to restore data
