Guide to using the QR code scan feature.


Overview

The QR code scan feature reads and utilizes various information contained in QR codes.


Recognizable QR Code Types

How to Use

Step 1: Enter QR Code Scan Mode

  1. Open the camera screen
  2. Tap the Barcode/QR scan icon ()
  3. Scan mode is activated

Step 2: Scan QR Code

  1. Center the QR code on screen
  2. Camera automatically recognizes
  3. Result popup appears when recognized

For Fast Recognition

  • Make QR code fill the screen
  • Keep QR code straight (not tilted)
  • Ensure sufficient lighting

Step 3: View Result and Execute

Various actions are provided based on scan result:

Usage by QR Code Type

URL QR Code

QR code containing website address:

  1. Scan QR code
  2. Check URL preview
  3. Tap Open to open in browser

Security Notice

Be cautious with URLs from unknown QR codes. They may lead to phishing sites.


Contact QR Code

vCard QR code from business cards:

  1. Scan QR code
  2. Check name, phone number, email, etc.
  3. Tap Add to contacts

Wi-Fi QR Code

QR code containing Wi-Fi access information:

  1. Scan QR code
  2. Check network name (SSID)
  3. Tap Connect for automatic Wi-Fi connection

Work Use Cases

Equipment Information Management

  1. Scan QR code attached to equipment
  2. Check equipment info (manual URL, serial number, etc.)
  3. Record with notes

Site Check-in

  1. Scan QR code at site entrance
  2. Record location information
  3. Automatic time logging

Material Tracking

  1. Scan material QR code
  2. Check material info and history
  3. Record incoming/outgoing

Scanning Tips

QR Code Scanning Tips

For good recognition

  • QR code is flat and spread out
  • Sufficient lighting available
  • Appropriate distance from QR code (fills 50-80% of screen)
  • QR code is not damaged

When recognition fails

  • Adjust distance closer or farther
  • Make lighting brighter
  • Adjust angle so QR code doesn't reflect
  • Try from a different angle

Troubleshooting

If QR code is not recognized

  1. Check QR code is not damaged
  2. Check no part of QR code is blocked
  3. Make lighting brighter
  4. Adjust distance (focus may not work if too close)
  5. Recognition may be difficult if QR code is too small or complex

If URL doesn't open

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Check URL is in valid format
  3. Check website is operational
