Document Scan¶
Guide to using the document scan feature.
Overview¶
The document scan feature lets you cleanly scan documents, receipts, business cards, and more. It includes automatic edge detection and perspective correction.
Scannable Items¶

How to Use¶
Step 1: Enter Document Scan Mode¶
- Open the camera screen
- Tap the Document scan icon () on the side
- Document scan mode is activated

Step 2: Position the Document¶
- Place the document to scan on a flat surface
- Position so the entire document is visible on screen
- Camera automatically detects document edges
For Optimal Scanning
- Greater color contrast between document and background is better
- Dark document on light background, or vice versa
- Adjust lighting to prevent shadows
Step 3: Confirm Auto-Detection¶
- Document edges are shown with a blue border
- Check if the border matches the document exactly
- Manual adjustment is available if not matching

Step 4: Capture¶
Tap the Shutter button to scan.
Step 5: Edge Adjustment (Optional)¶
After capture, you can manually adjust the edges:
- Drag the circular handles at corners to adjust
- Align precisely with document edges
- Tap the Confirm button

Step 6: Image Enhancement¶
Apply enhancement options to the scanned image:

Step 7: Save¶
Tap the Save button to save to gallery.
Multi-Page Scanning¶
To scan multiple pages consecutively:
- After scanning first page, tap Add scan button
- Scan the next page
- After all pages are scanned, tap Done button

Lighting
- Scan under uniform lighting
- Avoid creating shadows
- Natural light or indirect lighting works well
Positioning
- Lay document flat
- Smooth out wrinkles or folds
- Place on contrasting background
Capturing
- Keep device parallel to document
- Hold steady without shaking
- Ensure entire document is in frame
Using Scan Results¶
Scanned documents can be used as follows:
- Gallery save: Save as image for storage
- Add tags: Assign tags for classification
- Cloud backup: Automatic sync
- Share: Send via email, messenger, etc.
- Export: Export as PDF, etc.
Troubleshooting¶
If edges are not detected¶
- Make lighting brighter
- Increase contrast with background (use different colored background)
- Manually specify edges
If scan result is blurry¶
- Make lighting brighter
- Hold device steadily
- Check if focus is achieved
If perspective is not corrected¶
- Confirm edges are accurately detected
- Manually adjust corners if needed
