Tagging Media

This guide explains how to add and manage tags on photos and videos.

When to Tag

Tags can be added at the following times:

Timing Description
Right after capture Add directly from the save screen
From Gallery Select media later and add
Bulk add Add to multiple media at once

Adding Tags Right After Capture

Step 1: Capture Photo/Video

Capture as you normally would.

Step 2: Add Tags on Save Screen

On the screen that appears after capture:

  1. Tap the Add Tag button
  2. A list of existing tags is displayed
  3. Tap to select tags to add (multiple selection possible)
  4. Create new tags with + New Tag if needed

Step 3: Save

Tap the Save button.

The selected tags are applied to the media.

Single Media

  1. Tap to open media in Gallery
  2. Tap the Tag button () at the bottom
  3. Select tags or create new ones
  4. Tap Save or Done

Bulk Add to Multiple Media

  1. Activate multi-select mode in Gallery (long press or select button)
  2. Select the media you want to tag
  3. Tap the Tag button at the bottom
  4. Select tags to add
  5. Tap Apply or Save

Useful when tagging photos from the same site or task at once.

Removing Tags

Remove from Single Media

  1. Open media detail screen
  2. Tap Tag button
  3. Tap to deselect the tag to remove
  4. Save

Bulk Remove from Multiple Media

  1. Select media in multi-select mode
  2. Tap Tag button
  3. Select Remove Tags option
  4. Select tags to remove
  5. Apply

Searching/Filtering by Tags

  1. Tap the Filter icon at the top of Gallery
  2. Select Tag filter
  3. Choose the tags you want to see
  4. Only media with those tags are displayed

Multi-Tag Filter

When filtering by multiple tags:

  • Include All (AND): Media that has all selected tags
  • Include Any (OR): Media that has at least one of the selected tags

Adding tags right after capture:

  • You accurately remember the situation
  • Saves time from reviewing and tagging later
  • Enables consistent tagging

Batch Processing

Efficient Bulk Tagging

For photos from the same site/task:

  1. First, capture all photos
  2. Multi-select in Gallery
  3. Bulk add common tags
  4. Add individual tags only to specific photos as needed

Checking Tag Status

Tags per Media

You can view currently applied tags in the media detail screen.

Media Count per Tag

You can check the usage count for each tag in the Tag Management screen.

Using Categories and Tags Together

Combined Usage Example

Photo: Crack discovered in 2nd floor hallway

  1. Select Category: Inspection Records
  2. Add Tags:
    • 2nd Floor (location)
    • Crack (type)
    • Urgent (priority)
    • Building A (building)

Now you can find it in the "Inspection Records" category or by filtering with any of the tags.
