Delete Tag

This guide explains how to remove unused tags.

How to Delete

Step 1: Open Tag Management Screen

1. In Gallery, tap Menu (≡)
2. Select Tag Management

Step 2: Select Tag to Delete

Long press the tag you want to delete.

Or tap the delete icon () next to the tag.

Step 3: Confirm Deletion

Tap Delete in the confirmation popup.

Deleted tags cannot be recovered.

Impact of Deletion

Tags Removed from Media

Important

When you delete a tag:

• The tag is removed from all media that had it
• Media itself is not deleted
• Other tags remain

Example

If a photo has "Urgent", "1st Floor", and "Leak" tags:

• When "Urgent" tag is deleted
• The photo will only have "1st Floor" and "Leak" tags
• The photo itself remains unchanged

Pre-Deletion Checklist

Before deleting a tag:

• [ ] Check how many media have that tag
• [ ] Confirm the tag is really okay to delete
• [ ] Consider if it needs to be replaced with another tag

Tag Cleanup

Cleaning Up Unused Tags

You can check the usage count for each tag in the Tag Management screen.

• Tags with 0 usage count can be safely deleted
• Clean up old project tags

Merging Tags

To combine similar tags into one:

1. Decide which tag to keep (e.g., "1st Floor")
2. Search for media with the tag to delete (e.g., "1F")
3. Add the tag to keep to that media
4. Remove the tag to delete
