Importing Media

This guide explains how to import photos or videos from other locations on your device into WorkCam.

What is Import?

You can import photos/videos from your device's gallery or file manager into the WorkCam app.

How to Import

  1. Tap Menu (≡) in Gallery screen
  2. Select Import
  3. Device gallery opens
  4. Select media to import
  5. Tap Done or Import

Method 2: From More Menu

  1. Tap More (:) at the top of gallery
  2. Select Import Media
  3. Select media and import

Method 3: Import via Share

Share from another app to WorkCam:

  1. Select media in another app (gallery, file manager, etc.)
  2. Tap the Share button
  3. Select WorkCam
  4. Select category and save

Assign Category

You can select a category when importing.

Add Tags

You can add tags when importing.

  1. After selecting category, tap Next
  2. Select tags (optional)
  3. Tap Import

Importing Multiple Media

Multi-Select

You can select multiple media in your device gallery.

  1. Tap first media
  2. Tap additional media to select
  3. Tap Done

Import Entire Folder

To import all media from a specific folder:

  1. Navigate to folder in Import screen
  2. Tap Select All
  3. Tap Import

After Import

Original Files

Original Preserved

Import is a copy operation.

  • Original files remain unchanged
  • A copy is created in WorkCam
  • WorkCam copy remains if original is deleted

Duplicate Handling

If you try to import already imported media:

Option Description
Skip Don't import duplicate media
Import All Import everything including duplicates

Usage Example

Organizing Past Photos

You can import existing site photos into WorkCam and systematically organize them with categories and tags.

  1. Select site photos from device gallery
  2. Import to WorkCam
  3. Assign appropriate category
  4. Add tags for classification
