Deleting Media¶

This guide explains how to delete media.

How to Delete¶

Delete Single Media¶

Open media detail screen
Tap the Delete () button at bottom
Tap Delete in the confirmation popup

Delete Multiple Media¶

Start Selection Mode in gallery (long press)
Select media to delete
Tap the Delete () button at bottom
Tap Delete in the confirmation popup

Delete Confirmation¶

A confirmation popup is displayed before deletion.

Caution

Deleted media cannot be recovered.

Impact of Deletion¶

Local Storage¶

Media files are deleted from the device
Storage space is freed up

Cloud¶

If cloud sync is configured:

Setting	Behavior
Two-way Sync	Also deleted from cloud
Upload Only	Kept in cloud

Cloud Sync

Behavior differs based on cloud sync settings. Cloud Settings

Tags/Categories¶

Tag connections for that media are removed
Tags/categories themselves are preserved

Pre-Deletion Checklist¶

Check before deleting:

[ ] Is this really media that can be deleted?
[ ] Is backup not needed?
[ ] Is it okay to delete from cloud as well?
[ ] Has it been shared/exported elsewhere?

Selective Deletion¶

Delete by Category¶

Apply specific category filter
Select all or individual items
Delete

Delete by Date¶

Apply date filter (e.g., specific date)
Select media from that date
Delete

Delete by Tag¶

Filter by specific tag
Select that media
Delete

Bulk Deletion¶

When deleting many media items:

Apply filter to display target media
Tap Select All
Deselect some if needed
Proceed with Delete

Check Usage¶

Settings > Storage
Check WorkCam usage

Tips for Freeing Space¶

Free Up Storage Space

Delete duplicate media
Clean up old media
Check and clean up large videos
Delete local copies after cloud backup

Preventing Accidental Deletion¶

Delete Confirmation Setting¶

Settings > General
Enable Confirm on Delete (default: enabled)

Backup Recommended

Before deleting important media:

Sync to cloud
Export to external storage
Share to another device
