This guide explains how to search for media in the gallery.

Opening Search¶

Tap the Search icon () at the top of the gallery.

How to Search¶

Text Search¶

Enter search terms in the search bar.

Search targets:

Item	Example
Category name	"Construction site", "Inspection records"
Tag name	"Urgent", "1st Floor", "Crack"
Note content	Notes added to media
Filename	"IMG_20240115"

Execute Search¶

After entering search terms:

Tap the Search button on keyboard
Or press Enter

Combining Search and Filters¶

You can use search and filters together.

Example

Apply "Inspection records" category filter
Search for "Crack"

-> Only shows "Crack" related media within inspection records

Search History¶

Recent Searches¶

Previously searched terms are displayed.

Tap to immediately run the search
Tap X to remove from history

Clear Search History¶

To delete all search history:

Efficient Searching

More accurate results with exact tag names
Use filters together to narrow the scope
Use recent searches for quick re-searching
Use selection mode from search results for batch operations

Working with Search Results¶

From the search results screen:

Tap: Open detail view
Long press: Start selection mode
Add filter: Narrow results
