Timer Settings¶
Guide to using the self-timer feature.
Timer Options¶

How to Set¶
- Tap the Timer icon at the top of the camera screen
- Each tap cycles through settings: Off → 3s → 10s → Off
How to Use¶
- Set your desired timer duration
- Tap the Shutter button
- A countdown is displayed on screen
- Photo is automatically captured when countdown ends
During Countdown
- Remaining time is displayed on screen
- A beep sound may play (varies by device)
- Tap the shutter button again to cancel
Timer Use Cases¶
3-Second Timer¶
Suitable for:
- Preventing shake from tapping shutter button
- Eliminating hand shake when using tripod
- Quick selfies
10-Second Timer¶
Suitable for:
- Including yourself in group photos
- Moving into position after fixing device
- Precise composition for selfies
Usage Tips¶
Preventing Hand Shake¶
Using with Tripod
Even with device fixed on tripod, tapping the shutter button can cause shake.
Using a 3-second timer allows capture after the vibration from tapping subsides.
Combining with Night Mode¶
When Shooting at Night
Night mode has longer capture times, making it sensitive to hand shake.
Using timer together produces clearer results.
Time for Composition Check¶
Final Check Before Capture
While timer counts down:
- Final composition check on screen
- Adjust subject position
- Get yourself into the frame
Timer Reset¶
Timer setting is maintained after capture.
To return to normal shooting:
- Tap the Timer icon
- Change to Off () state
Timer with Video¶
Video Mode
Timer can also be used in video mode.
- Recording starts after timer ends
- Recording must be stopped manually
